Dr. Anthony is a licensed physician by training, public health & policy practitioner by passion, and the Founder of MOMentum Park (501c3). Born premature, to a single mother, in one of the poorest zip codes in Detroit, MI; Dr. Anthony is personally and professionally dedicated to advancing EQUITY & JUSTICE.
Alaina Cardenas became a teen mom at the age of 15 and again at the age of 18. She intricately understands firsthand the challenges of being a minority and pregnant. We are grateful to have her live-experience and expertise as our Douglas County SHERO Director. Alaina also works in patient care at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and is studying to be a nurse.
Kayla Thomas is a recent U of Michigan public health grad who is passionate about Black maternal health. She is committed to promoting equity in maternal and sexual health. Kayla serves as the Women's Health Specialist for Momentum Park, a role that largely entails progressing the organization's development efforts. She is currently in the process of training to become a doula.
Tracey Estriplet, MPH is an advocate for mothers, infants and children. She leads our SHERO signature program and MOMentum Park's social media presence. She is a newlywed and advancing her education as a doctoral student specializing in child and adolescent health.
Maria Teel serves many roles including human services, marketing and customer service. She is a mother, grandmother and our fairy godmother. Helping others is at the core of everything Maria does especially pregnant women and families.
Our Chief Happiness Officer, King Louis XVI believes that happy employees are better employees. He motivates and empowers the team to make the health, lives, and well-being of moms and babies better. On any given day, you can find him motivating the team with tail wags, tricks, and kisses. Graduating from UC Bark-ley, he specializes in happiness, capacity building, and overall workplace optimism.
Todd Park is the co-founder and executive chairman of Devoted Health. Before Devoted, he served as Assistant to President Obama and Chief Technology Officer. Todd is globally known as a TECH GENIUS. He co-founded Athenahealth, (cloud-based software for health care providers), and Castlight Health, (online health benefits platform company).
Chelsea Souder is a mother of four and understands the unique experience of pregnancy and motherhood. She is a champion for women’s health and racial equity. Her background is in adolescent, women’s and refugee reproductive healthcare. She is a zealous advocate for family planning and the eradication of intimate partner violence and human trafficking.
Elizabeth Lee has dedicated her career to public health, working in multiple senior level policy roles. She was responsible for MCH initiatives at the US Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), legislative aide to Senator Tammy Baldwin and a Winston Health Policy Fellow with Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. She currently leads the "health care teams" at Venn Strategies as principal and health care group chair.
Dr. Crockett is a board-certified, practicing Obstetrician & Gynecologist. She is a mother of three and an advocate for health equity. Her diverse patients represent women from rural, minority and refugee communities. Dr. Crockett is a champion for innovation and social impact.
Sylvia Guendelman, PhD is a recognized national and international scholar in maternal and child health (MCH). She is Professor of the Graduate Division, former chair of the MCH Program at UC Berkeley and Founder of the Wallace Center for Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health at the UC Berkeley School of Public Health.
